Shu Powders Limited has received many requests from our customers for Shu to adhere to their customer code of conduct, or similar document. Each of these documents has different contents and requirements and are difficult and expensive to evaluate. In place of agreeing to multiple codes of conduct, Shu Powders confirms it adheres to the policy stated below.
Shu Powders Limited does not support insurgent activities and will insure it does not purchase raw materials from sources that support insurgent activities.
Shu Powders Limited does not use child labor and will not purchase goods from a supplier or transact business with a subcontractor that it is aware uses child labor. Shu Powders Limited will adhere to the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act in all its business activities. Shu Powders Limited will adhere to the laws of the relevant countries in which it operates.
Within reason, and at our discretion, Shu Powders will allow reasonable audits to confirm our adherence to the above policy statement.

Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act: Letter of Good Standing
The Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act 130 of 1993 acts as a guide for companies to offer compensation in cases of disablement or death caused by occupational injuries or diseases sustained or contracted in the course of employment.Moreover, the Act provides clear guidance on how matters connected with occupational injuries and diseases should be handled to ensure the preservation of human dignity and professional standing.Shu Powders has been awarded a Letter of Good Standing to confirm our adherence to the Act’s provisions and continued good standing with the Compensation Fund.

Air Quality Management By-law: Scheduled Trade Permit
In compliance with the City of Cape Town’s Air Quality Management By-law, Shu Powders has been granted a Scheduled Trade Permit authorising our operations for the period 2025 to 2030. This permit confirms our adherence to strict environmental and emissions standards for scheduled activities, as defined by local air quality regulations. It reflects our ongoing commitment to responsible environmental management and regulatory compliance in all aspects of our manufacturing processes.
