Situated near the bustling port of Durban, South Africa, and at an altitude of 1000m, Shu Powders’ production plant is strategically located to ensure the integrity of our product. Our facility employs one of the world’s most advanced and efficient production processes, capable of producing up to 1,400 metric tons of cobalt powder annually, all of which is jet milled.
We also operate our own laboratory to guarantee the highest quality powder. Our state-of-the-art equipment provides precise production, monitoring, and analysis, ensuring a stable and consistent supply.

Sub Micron Cobalt Powder (SMS)
Sub Micron Cobalt Powders with a FSSS below 1 micron is mainly used for fine grain carbide application such as round tools where homogenous Cobalt distribution is required to insure both high hardness and superiors transverse rupture strength.

Granulated Extra Fine Cobalt Powders with either paraffin binder IGI or PEG binder provide customers with a dust-free, free-flowing and inflammable solution as compared to the non-granulated powders.

Soft Granulated Extra Fine Cobalt Powder (S-GEF-IGI and S-GEF-PEG)
Soft Granulated Extra Fine Cobalt Powder with either paraffin binder IGI or PEG binder is the latest development providing customers with the same dust-free, free-flowing and inflammable solution as their granulated counterparts. It is adding the benefit that it is easy to disperse thanks to a pressureless granulation process. Conventional granulated Cobalt powders using compaction pressure can fall short of a perfect microstructure and show Cobalt polling leading to inferior tool perforrnance and tool life. The Soft Granulated Cobalt Powders avoid all these risks, which is highly appreciated by customers.
