Sustainability is a crucial part of Shu Powder’s journey, and the turbine shapes in our logo represents this. This commitment starts internally. 20% of our energy consumption is renewable and comes from our in-house photovoltaic system, with 20% of all of our Cobalt supply originating from recycled Cobalt.
But it also means we provide the materials needed to create the products driving sustainable initiatives towards a zero-emission future. From the lithium-ion batteries of electric cars to the wind turbines harnessing kinetic energy to medical prosthesis and radiography equipment at the cutting edge of medical technology – cobalt’s unique magnetic and strengthening properties have made sustainable advancement possible across multiple industries.
Within the petro-cehemical industry, cobalt acts as a catalyst that removes sulphur, nitrous oxide and other impurities from crude oil, enabling better fuel quality and minimising greenhouse gas emission.
