COMMUNITY – training

Each employee receives over 100 hours of training a year. Shu conducts operations training, such as specific equipment operation, process procedures education, hazardous material training, emergency drills, as well as courses on personal health, finance and basic english, math and computer skills. This is all beyond off site training. Over 50% of the staff is involved in offsite professional training or seminars, or in achieving advanced degrees.

Local community activities focus on supporting local groups and schools with funding or computer equipment. We support the concept of family and have annual family days where the employees bring their immediate family to work so that they can have a better understanding of the effort their parents or spouse make at work.
